The Tadelakt lamp bases start life as earthenware pots just outside Marrakech. The pots are then covered with a lime plaster and once dried, 2-3 layers of natural pigment and oil is applied. When the final layer has dried each one is ‘polished’ to gain the wonderful colour and lustre – Tadelakt means ‘to rub’. Each one totally unique.
Now the bases are packed up and make the journey overland to Holt, Norfolk where they are wired.
The lampshades are made in North Norfolk, exclusively for Berber, in a thrilling array of coloured silks.
